Last Updated 06-05-2009 05:19:51 UTC Ocean State 2-Meter FM Simplex Challenge Last year was the first running of the Ocean State 2-Meter FM Simplex Challenge. It was not a bad showing for a first-time event. This year we are looking for more participation and an even greater challenge. We are going to try to activate ALL 39 RI cities and towns! Can it be done? It will be fun trying. To accomplish this lofty objective will require lots of participation from 2-meter FM stations all over the state. We are looking for contesters, ragchewers, ARES members, etc. to be radioactive during the challenge. Especially important will be mobile stations acting as ROVERS to activate less active towns. Team up with someone to be a rover station. You’ll have a blast! As is done with the New England QSO Party in May, please e-mail your intention to operate from which city/town and especially mobile/rovers tell us what towns you hope to put on the air with approximate times if you like.
